If you'd like to hire room at the Youth House for your group or activity please contact us for availability and pricing either by calling us on 01271 321321 or email. Until the new build of the derelict buildings at the rear of BYH we are nearly to full capacity but the Coffee Bar is currently available to rent Monday and Friday evenings, there is some weekend use available and school holidays time.

Charges

Bookings may be made on a sessional or "full time" basis, or a combination of the two: for example an organisation may want a "permanent" office facility, but also need a session per week in the coffee bar for other purposes.

If yours is the only organisation using a room you may set it up and leave it the way you prefer, whereas sessional use implies that the room must be left ready for the next user. (If multiple sessions are booked the next user could of course be yourself!) We are willing to be flexible in the arrangements made to maximise the benefits to young people whilst retaining a view of the economics and sustainability of the Youth House provision. Please talk to the Youth House Development Manager, who will use her discretion to meet your requirements.

Child Protection

It is a requirement of BYH that all groups working directly with young people through BYH have policies and procedures in line with current Child Protection legislation and safe working practices appropriate to their service and activities. When engaging staff (employed or voluntary), groups must apply screening in line with current legislation.
