The future

North Devon Council have very generously provided the Barnstaple Youth House with a 99 year lease on the premises ensuring this town centred base for future generations of young people in the area.

We are currently in negotiations to extend the area of our lease to include the land at the rear of the premises enabling us to provide more space for groups.

This area incorporates an old slaughter house which used to supply the famous Butchers' Row until the outbreak of World War 2. Capital funding would be sought to refurbish this building and the adjoining outside area.
